Mitch Sengoku brought an international perspective to the firm and has continued to lead Sangikyo in an innovative and creative ways during a decade of considerable change. He led the company into the telecom and mobile communications era and has personally managed the development of the communications and networking business for the company. Additionally, he developed a new product service, a set of business software enhancing tools known as “Optimization-ware” for total corporate performance enhancement.
Over the past decade, CEO Mitch Sengoku has appeared both nationally and internationally in public and on television to promote the significance of Sangikyo’s “Knowledge Management Optimization Services.”
In 1967, Sengoku studied at San Jose State University in California. He then graduated with a major in Commerce and Business Management from Keio University in Japan. On the Judo team at Keio University, Sengoku fine-tuned his competitive skills and he has been an avid supporter of Japan’s national judo programs.
After college, Mitch joined the Sony Corporation in their new overseas marketing division and spent several years working in the US. He moved up within the Sony Corporation of America and soon became a director at Sony Plaza. During this time, he established a new import products division within Sony.
A good deal of Sengoku’s thinking about marketing developed during his days with the Sony Corporation of America, where he had hands-on responsibility for US sales. He has continued to build on his Sony expertise by attending international conferences, seminars at the Keio University School of Business and through his memberships in various business research groups.
