Write several words separated by spaces and a search for a page containing all of the words indicated will be searched for (AND condition). It does not matter whether the letters/characters are narrow or wide font, or whether the letters are small or large case. |
| 1. Understanding Search Results | |
Recommended Results If you input the product name or such, you may find related sites recommended by site owner on the top of results. It helps you to find exactly what you need in one step. Searching is even possible with mistaken inputting, different notations, abbreviations and acronyms (the site will not be displayed if the keyword isn't registered). Release Search Searches news releases and displays the releases in a new order. Selectable Display of Search Results There are two ways to display results of searching for keywords: "Date" and "Score". The user can switch between these two types of display by clicking the appropriate link. |
| 2. Description of Search Methods | |
| Please refer to the following when conducting a more detailed search by combining a number of
keywords with conditions. Searching for pages that contain all of several keywords (AND condition) "&" or "and" or narrow font space Ex.) "Optimization & PBT" or "Optimization and PBT" This will search for a page that contains both Optimization and PBT Note: There will be fewer search results. This is used when too many search results exist for an individual keyword. Searching for pages that contain one of several keywords (OR condition) "|" or "or" Ex.) "Optimization | PBT " or "Optimization or PBT" This will search for pages that include either "Optimization" or "PBT". Note: There will be more search results. This is used when there are multiple forms of expression for an individual keyword. Searching for pages that exclude a specific keyword (NOT condition) "~" Ex.) "Optimization ~ PBT" This searches for pages that don't include "Optimization" but include " PBT". Note: There will be fewer search results. This is used when too many search results exist for an individual keyword. Searching for pages where several keywords appear consecutively (CONSECUTIVE AND condition) Ex.) When the entry is written as 'Motor Show' (space between Motor and Show, the search will find "Motor Show" and also "we show our motor to Clients" etc,. It will thus find pages where the words in the quotes appear consecutively. Note: Words like "Underground" that are one word when read consecutively will not be successfully searched when the search is for 'Under ground' (space within the word). Searching for pages with multiple conditions(COMBINED conditions) Ex.) (Network | Technology)~(Service | Product) This searches for pages that include network or technology but don't include service or products. Of course, this can also be used by combining "& (and)" or "| (or)." Note: This allows you to make a precise condition to search pages. |
